Questa domenica (7) si è svolta la 79esima edizione dei Tony Awards, i principali premi teatrali degli Stati Uniti. La cerimonia si è tenuta al Radio City Music Hall, a New York, con un'esibizione della cantante Pink.

I musical “Schmigadoon!” e “The Lost Boys” hanno guidato le nomination, con 12 ciascuno. Momento clou della serata, con quattro statuette, “Schmigadoon!” è un adattamento dell'omonima serie di Apple TV+ e fa una parodia dei musical dell'epoca d'oro di Broadway.

La produzione ha vinto premi come Miglior musical, Miglior libro di un musical, Miglior colonna sonora per un musical e Miglior orchestrazione.
